Insane: according to Rubio the "imminent threat" that Iran posed - that justified "preemptive war" - was that the U.S. knew Israel would attack them, and they expected Iran would respond.

It's literally the equivalent of saying "I knew that guy was a threat because I knew he'd shoot back after getting shot by my friend."
Rubio calls striking Iran in that context "going proactively in a defensive way", which has got to be one of the most Orwellian sentences ever uttered by a Secretary of State.
Any normal can see that what this actually means was that those under "imminent threat" were actually Iran. Rubio just admitted very clearly that Iran was the victim here.
